Pakistan's 3G/4G Mobile Broadband Market Growth

In April 2014 Pakistan Telecommunication Authority auctioned 3G and 4G licenses. These platforms are meant to provide high speed mobile broadband internet services. After getting authorized Mobile Telcos started their operations with providing different versatile services over their new platforms. In July 2015, total 3G and 4G subscribers were 14.36 million with 98.26% 3G platform and 1.74% 4G platform penetration. Since Jul-15 to May-16 total subscribers reached to 29.74 Million with 15.13 Million net additions at an average growth rate of 7.37% per month. Mobilink is Pakistan’s first Mobile operator and It started 3G services with 3.95 Million customers with a highest rate of average growth 8.88% per month.
